Phinsider Question Of The Day: Is He The Guy Edition

On Monday afternoon, Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen confirmed with local media that joint practices would be held with the Miami Dolphins ahead of the final preseason contest for each squad in late August. With the exhibition game taking place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, the joint practices will be held in South Florida instead of the northern part of the state.

The Dolphins will travel to play both the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears this preseason — but it remains to be seen if they will participate in joint practices with either, or both of those teams. Last year, Miami practiced against all three of their preseason opponents — the Atlanta Falcons, Washington Commanders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Per National Football League rules, teams can only participate in four joint practices with competing squads during the entire duration of the preseason.

The last time the Dolphins faced the Jaguars was in Week One of the 2024 NFL season — a game that saw Miami come out on top by a score of 20-17 thanks to a game-winning field goal from kicker Jason Sanders as time expired.

We will continue to keep you updated with all things Miami Dolphins as the team progresses through the summer and into meaningful football games starting in early September.
