Kylian Mbappé has taken a step back in his legal battle with Paris Saint-Germain. According to L’Équipe, the Real Madrid forward has withdrawn the criminal complaint for moral harassment and attempted extortion that he filed on May 16 against his former club. The accusation had led to the opening of a formal investigation by the Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office and the involvement of two investigating judges.
Sources close to Mbappé told the French outlet that the decision was driven by his desire to ease tensions in the legal sphere and focus fully on his sporting responsibilities. However, the legal fight isn’t completely over—Mbappé is still pursuing a claim with the Conseil de Prud’hommes, France’s labor court, to recover €55 million in unpaid wages and bonuses from the final months of his time at PSG.
