The Dallas Mavericks fired head athletic trainer Dionne Calhoun and athletic performance trainer Keith Belton, sources told Tim MacMahon of ESPN.
The team also let go of other members of the health and performance group.
Calhoun spent 21 years with the Mavs and was promoted to head trainer in 2019.
Belton did not have certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association as required by the NBA’s collective bargaining agreement.
Belton had tension with director of health and performance Johann Bilsborough.
Bilsborough remains employed by the Mavs.
