It is well known by now that Marcus Rashford has no future at Manchester United and is likely to be let go this summer. But where he will eventually land up remains to be seen.

Aston Villa, where the Mancunian spent the last six months on loan, had the option of converting his temporary stint into a permanent one for £40 million.

But their final-day defeat at the hands of the Red Devils meant they missed out on Champions League qualification, which also ended their hopes of signing the Englishman due to the costs involved.

The Carrington graduate has always had his eyes on a dream move to Barcelona, but for now, the Catalans seem to be focusing on trying to land Luis Díaz from Liverpool.

Marcus Rashford has plenty of suitors

He is a backup option for now, due to United’s asking price, and insistence on a permanent deal, while the forward’s hefty wage demands are also a concern.

The 27-year-old is prepared to wait until the end of the summer window to force through a move to the Camp Nou outfit, but as per SPORT, he is also generating plenty of interest from other top clubs across Europe.

Barca will need to be wary as reportedly the England international has loan offers from five different clubs, with three of them being from the Premier League while the other two being Serie A giants.

“The English player will wait until June for Barça to sign him, and the club will find out if it’s possible to sign Luis Díaz on terms that are affordable for the Blaugrana. If not, Rashford’s candidacy could gain significant momentum.

Barcelona have company

“The player is racking up loan offers, as Chelsea, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Inter Milan, and AC Milan have all sounded him out.”

INEOS will definitely not favour loaning Marcus Rashford out again, this time to rivals like the Gunners and the Blues. Also Villa eyeing another loan move is unlikely to be entertained, especially with the player keen on Champions League football.

Which also means AC Milan look likely to miss out, even though they have been long-term admirers.

So far this window, player sales have proven to be a tough nut to crack as INEOS try and play hardball with suitors in order to strike the best possible deal, unlike the Glazers who sanctioned sales for meagre prices.

It will be interesting to see where Rashford winds up in the end. His sale represents pure profit due to his homegrown status, another reason why the co-owners are desperate to move him on.
