Manchester United are interested in signing Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad in the summer transfer window, according to GiveMeSport. Arsenal are also reported to be interested in the Spain international midfielder, who has a release clause of £51million in his contract.
Zubimendi is one of the best midfielders in Spain and helped his country win UEFA Euro 2024. The 26-year-old was close to joining Liverpool last summer, but he eventually decided to stay at Sociedad. Arsenal have been strongly linked with Zubimendi, who is now drawing attention from the Gunners’ Premier League rivals Man Utd as well.
Man Utd are having a very disappointing campaign and were knocked out of the FA Cup by Fulham on Sunday. Ruben Amorim’s side are in the bottom half of the Premier League table and are not even in the race for the top four. The Red Devils, though, have progressed to the Round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League.
