Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is not pleased with the attacking options at his disposal which is why he has asked INEOS for reinforcements as soon as possible.

Rasmus Hojlund is effectively on trial until the end of the season while Joshua Zirkzee has impressed with his link-up play but not in front of goal.

Both Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho have been linked with exits and the head coach might be left with very options should the occur.

Currently, the club is trying to complete a loan deal for Bayern Munich’s versatile forward Mathys Tel by offering him the chance to earn regular minutes at Old Trafford.

United eyeing reinforcements up top

There are plenty of other Premier League clubs in the race while the possibility of staying at Munich is also on the cards. Both Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres are possible summer targets.

Foot Mercato have claimed the Red Devils have gathered a lot of information on Atalanta star El Bilal Touré and are planning a major three-way deal in the closing stages of the winter window.

The former Stade Reims starlet was brought in as Hojlund’s replacement at Bergamo but he managed a meagre three goals last season which is why they decided to send him out on loan.

The Malian is currently on loan at VfB Stuttgart, where he has managed to match last season’s tally before sustaining a metatarsal fracture.

But the Bundesliga side seem to be happy with the impact made by the 23-year-old and are considering acquiring his signature for €18 million from Atalanta.

The Europa League winner would then be transferred to the Red Devils for €25 million, who are prepared to loan him back to Stuttgart so that he may regain full fitness and form.

“Looking for a striker since the start of the transfer window to meet the needs of Ruben Amorim, Manchester United have accelerated on the El Bilal Touré file.

A deal for El Bilal Touré could be on the cards

“Wanting to keep their striker until the end of the season, Stuttgart is considering exercising the purchase option of 18 million euros in order to permanently recruit the player from Atalanta Bergamo.

“According to our sources, the former Reims star could then be recruited by Manchester United for 25 million euros excluding bonuses before being loaned to Stuttgart until the end of the season.”

It sounds a bit complicated and the player’s goal tally is nothing to write home about but his winning goal against Juventus in the Champions League for the Germans was something special and his performance was termed “world-class“.

On paper, this signing does not look too promising but INEOS have shown the ability to pluck diamonds in the rough and Touré might be of the same mould. Either way, Amorim must be pleased if this deal can be pulled off as he needs all the help he can get.
