Manchester City are interested in signing Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg in the summer transfer window, according to TBR. It has been reported that the defending Premier League champions are making “strong moves” to convince the midfielder to move to the Etihad Stadium.
Nypan was close to joining Arsenal in the January transfer window, but the Norwegian midfielder had a change of heart and decided to stay at Rosenborg until the summer of 2025. The 18-year-old is expected to leave ahead of the next season, and while Arsenal are still keen on him, Man City have now joined the race.
TBR has claimed that Man City are ready to offer Nypan a place in the first team in order to persuade him to snub a switch to Arsenal and join Pep Guardiola’s side instead. Man City are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 44 points from 26 matches, level on points with fifth-placed Newcastle United.
