According to Florian Plettenberg, Manchester City are closely monitoring the situation around Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.
The 22-year-old has had three separate injury issues this season, with each ruling him out for several matches. Consequently, he’s made only 13 La Liga appearances for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, seven times as a part of the starting XI.
For their part, Manchester City have surely learned their lesson about having a suitable alternative for Rodri, as their season fell apart from the moment the Spain international suffered an ACL tear back in September. The likes of Ilkay Gundogan, Mateo Kovacic, and January signing Nico Gonzalez, have all tried to fill the void, but none of them have been able to even come close to making up for Rodri’s absence.
City aren’t the only club interested in Camavinga this summer, and for himself, he hasn’t yet decided whether he wants to leave Real Madrid at all, with his contract valid until 2029.
