Manchester United Women manager Marc Skinner has obtained a UEFA Pro Licence.

The United head coach has been in charge at the Leigh Sports Village since 2021.

The 42 year old has guided United to three consecutive FA Cup finals and won the tournament in 2024 against Tottenham Hotspur in the final.

Skinner has also seen his team qualify for the Champions League next season after finishing an impressive third in the league behind Chelsea and Arsenal.

Owing to his recent success, Skinner recently signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until June 2027 with an option for another year.

The club’s official website has reported that this year has got even better for Skinner as he has been awarded his UEFA Pro Licence.

The programme took 18 months to complete and saw 25 new names being awarded the qualification.

Commenting on his achievement Skinner claimed, “I have found the Pro Diploma an enlightening experience.”

Elaborating further he stated, “I’ve learnt so much from the fantastic coaches in the cohort but also understand who I am and the modules in the course have empowered me to project that forwards and follow my inner voice and that’s a really powerful message.”

He also added that the course will leave a “lasting impression” on him and that it was an incredible experience to “share the brains” of so many “fantastic leaders”. Skinner also stated that he felt “privileged to be part of this amazing cohort.”

Modules within the programme tackled issues like implementing winning leadership and management strategies that can be applied to all levels of the English footballing system and abroad.

Skinner will be hoping his side can be active in the transfer window this summer to bolster the squad to be competitive both at home and in Europe in the upcoming season.
