Red Devils Target Spanish Sensation to Bolster Midfield

Manchester United are reportedly gearing up for a €50 million move to land Villarreal’s rising star Alex Baena, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes. The 23-year-old playmaker has been in scintillating form this season, racking up an impressive 14 goal contributions — and he could be exactly what United’s midfield needs.

With Bruno Fernandes often carrying the creative load single-handedly, Baena’s arrival would bring some much-needed flair and balance. Capable of playing both out wide and centrally, the Spaniard offers tactical flexibility that could add a new dimension to United’s attack.

Baena’s Next Step: Premier League Dreams?

Baena is entering his prime years and looks ready for a bigger challenge. The Premier League is calling — and a move to Old Trafford could fast-track his rise to stardom. Despite United’s recent struggles, the club’s rich history, ambitious project, and financial muscle still make them a major draw for top talents.

However, Manchester United aren’t alone in the race. Aston Villa, led by Unai Emery — Baena’s former coach at Villarreal — are also keen and could offer European football next season.

Whichever club wins the race, one thing is clear: Baena’s blend of technical brilliance and physical presence seems tailor-made for English football.
