The future of Luis Diaz has been a subject of plenty of speculation over the last year or so, with first Barcelona and then Paris Saint-Germain reported to be holding serious interest in his services. However, according to TBR Football, his representatives have informed Liverpool that the Colombian winger is very keen to reaffirm his commitment to the club by signing a new contract.
Liverpool are, however, currently locked in a number of negotiations regarding new contracts. They’re working hard to secure the futures of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose current deals all expire at the end of the season. Ibrahima Konate and Curtis Jones are also considered to be of greater priority than Diaz in that respect.
Nonetheless, Liverpool do not intend to lose Diaz to any other club this summer. The attackers that might be moved on are Darwin Nunez, notorious for missing clear-cut chances, and Federico Chiesa, simply unable to get into stride since arriving at the club at the end of last summer.
