One one that was instrumental in Hinchliffe’s rise was nine-time Olympic champion Carl Lewis, who’s the Head Coach of Monitor and Subject on the College of Houston and coached the 22-year-old throughout his time in Texas.

Lewis travelled to Manchester to see Hinchliffe win the UK 100m crown and acknowledged to AW afterwards that the NCAA system vastly benefitted the Brit each on and off the monitor.

“With the best way that our staff was arrange on the College of Houston, I by no means needed to put any strain on Louie,” he stated. “Being in a metropolis like Houston, everybody can get misplaced. So not having that fixed strain on the monitor actually helped him off it as nicely.

Hinchliffe additionally paid tribute to each Lewis and Will Blackburn – Director of Monitor and Subject on the College of Houston – on his Instagram.
