On June 28 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, live on DAZN PPV, Jake Paul defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr by unanimous decision. The win earned “El Gallo” a WBA No. 14 ranking in the cruiserweight division. Following his latest win, attention quickly turned to what’s next, and here are three wild possibilities for Jake Paul’s next fight. For fans of sport who enjoy boxing, you can also enjoy the best online pokies in Australia.

Jake Paul Defeats Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in Anaheim

Jake Paul vs Gilberto Ramirez

Gilberto Ramirez (48-1, 30 KOs) is the current unified WBA and WBO cruiserweight champion. Since Paul is ranked by the WBA, a future bout with the Ramirez is a legitimate possibility. While fans continue to follow Paul’s career with curiosity, they can also enjoy platforms such as casino live italia

Despite Paul saying he would like a title shot, it’s difficult to see anyone in his team letting him fight a boxer as accomplished as Ramirez at this time. Should the fight be made, Ramirez would look to control the distance and tempo of the fight, using his jab and impressive movement. We would tip “Zurdo” to stop Paul somewhere in the middle rounds.

Tommy Fury

Jake Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) suffered his only career defeat against Tommy Fury (11-0, 4 KOs) on February 26, 2023. Fury, while not being a world-class fighter, exposed weaknesses in Paul, getting the better of close exchanges and landing the more telling shots throughout. The split decision scorecards were generous for Paul, but the right man won. One judge had it 75-74 for “El Gallo,” while the other two had it 76-73 for Fury.

The rematch has long been discussed, with both teams blaming the other for it not happening. It feels like it’s the fight both need, giving Paul the chance to avenge his only defeat, while providing Fury the opportunity to fight on a big stage again. Should these two fight again, we feel the improvements in Paul, would see him gain his revenge and setting up a potential trilogy showdown.

Anthony Joshua

The wildest option for us is a potential fight against two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs). While on one hand, a fight between these two sounds ridiculous, it could be a win-win for both. Paul would not be expected to trouble AJ, while the Brit would surely be paid a fortune to face “El Gallo.”

Eddie Hearn recently spoke to Sky Sports, giving his honest view on a potential AJ vs Paul fight: “If he wants to be mad enough to get in the ring with Anthony Joshua and make several tens of potentially hundreds of millions, he will do it, Jake Paul.

“Will AJ? He’s his own man, but I will be saying, ‘Yeah, go on mate. Go and deal with this guy. Get him out of the game.’

“I think a lot of people will tune in to watch. Is it a fight that I think should be happening? No, not really, but we live in a completely crazy world, especially in the world of boxing where you just never know,” said Hearn.

Should the two meet, if AJ is well prepared, expect a dominating performance and a brutal KO win for Joshua.
