Liverpool will include Darwin Nunez in a deal to sign Alexander Isak from Premier League rivals Newcastle United in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. Although Newcastle want more than £100 million for Isak, Liverpool will try to persuade them to sell the Sweden international striker at a lesser transfer fee by sending Nunez to St James’ Park.
It has been reported that Liverpool manager Arne Slot has not been convinced by Nunez and is ready to offload the Uruguay international striker in an effort to fund a deal for a better and more clinical number nine. The 25-year-old has scored 39 goals and given 22 assists in 130 appearances for the Reds so far in his career.
Isak has established himself as one of the best and most lethal strikers in the Premier League and is one of the first names on the Newcastle teamsheet when he is fit and available. The 25-year-old has scored 54 goals and provided nine assists in 96 matches in all competitions for Newcastle so far in his career.
