Liverpool reportedly look unlikely to be able to sign Paris Saint-Germain left-winger Bradley Barcola this summer as the Ligue 1 giants want to keep him.
Barcola, 22, has shown himself to be an outstanding young talent in recent years, having scored 27 goals in 97 appearances since joining PSG.
The France international has been linked as an ambitious transfer target for Liverpool in a report by the Sun, but there’s now been another update.
Foot Mercato also claim the Reds want Barcola, along with Bayern Munich, but it seems PSG’s plan is to continue with the former Lyon star.
This isn’t too surprising, as his manager Luis Enrique previously described him as “superb”, as per quotes on Get French Football News.
Do Liverpool need Bradley Barcola?
Barcola is clearly an outstanding attacking talent, with pace, skill and an eye for goal that would strengthen almost any team in the world.
Still, Liverpool are already well stocked in that area of their squad, especially with Florian Wirtz now closing in on a move to Anfield, as reported by the Athletic and others.
Barcola’s arrival would probably only make sense if LFC were to offload someone like Luis Diaz, who has been targeted by Barcelona, according to BBC Sport, though they added that the Colombia international is not for sale.

Barcola can continue to add to PSG legacy
Barcola may now have extra competition for a place in the PSG starting line up following Khvicha Kvaratskhelia joining the club in January, but he clearly has what it takes to be a success at the Parc des Princes.
PSG will surely be keen to build around talented young French players like this, and Barcola should only keep on improving in years to come.
Having played a part in PSG’s treble success last season, Barcola has no real reason to leave the club now, even if Liverpool are also a tempting project.
