Liverpool figures past and present have paid tribute following the tragic death of Diogo Jota at the age of just 28.
The Portugal international’s passing, alongside his brother Andre, has rocked the football world, with tributes now flooding in from across the game.

The Uruguay international, who wore the No.9 shirt at Anfield last season, posted a message in Spanish on Instagram.
Translated, the 25-year-old wrote: “There are no words of comfort for so much pain. I will always remember you with your smile, as a good teammate on and off the pitch.
“I send all my strength to his family. Wherever he is, I’m sure he’ll always be with you – especially his wife and three children.”

Carragher posted via BBC News: “Devastating news about Diogo Jota & his brother Andre this morning.
“Thoughts are with everyone of their family & friends, especially his wife Rute & their three lovely kids.”
Gerrard added simply: “RIP Diogo. Condolences to his family and friends during this incredibly sad time.”
