Liverpool are stepping up their chase for RB Leipzig’s Dutch sensation Xavi Simons, as they prepare to make an official enquiry about his availability. The Bundesliga side, however, are holding firm on their €80 million valuation.

According to Caught Offside, the Reds are in the market for a versatile and creative attacker, and Simons has emerged as a prime target ahead of the summer transfer window. With Manchester United also showing interest but facing financial constraints, Liverpool could have a clear path to securing the Dutch playmaker’s signature.

Since leaving PSG and making his mark at RB Leipzig, the 21-year-old has been nothing short of exceptional. Having originally been loaned out to the German club after PSG re-signed him from PSV Eindhoven in 2023, Simons has quickly developed into one of the Bundesliga’s standout performers. With over 50 appearances for Leipzig, he has racked up an impressive 18 goals and 19 assists—numbers that have put Europe’s elite on high alert.

As Liverpool look to bolster their attack under new management, Simons’ dynamism, vision, and goal contributions make him a top priority. But with Leipzig standing firm on their asking price, will the Reds make their move, or will another European giant swoop in?
