Liverpool Set to Test Crystal Palace’s Resolve

Liverpool are preparing a bold £50 million bid for Crystal Palace starlet Adam Wharton ahead of the summer transfer window, according to The Sun. The 21-year-old midfielder, who shone brightly enough to earn a spot in England’s Euro 2024 squad, has quickly become one of the Premier League’s hottest properties.

Wharton only arrived at Selhurst Park 18 months ago but made an immediate impact, elevating his profile across Europe. Despite Crystal Palace tying him down to a contract until 2029, the Eagles could face a battle to keep their midfield gem, with Liverpool and even Real Madrid lurking.

Adam Wharton Seeking Assurances Over His Future

While Wharton’s talent suggests he can thrive at any top club, he is keen to secure guarantees over his playing time. At Palace, he enjoys a key role—something he would not want to jeopardise by making the wrong move.

Liverpool, now Premier League champions and back in the Champions League, could offer Wharton an attractive next step. However, they must present a convincing plan for his development and regular involvement if they want to beat the fierce competition for his signature.

With major clubs circling and Wharton not actively pushing for a move, the ball is firmly in Liverpool’s court to make their pitch irresistible.
