LAS VEGAS, NV- LFA President Sven Bean announced today that the LFA has entered into two event production agreements in May of 2025.
“The LFA team will return to one of our most most popular markets, and also break ground in a new market to produce events in May.” said Bean, who is responsible for venue booking and scheduling for the LFA.

“We will kick things off with a return to Santa Cruz, California and Kaiser Permanente Arena on Friday, May 9th. ” stated Bean.
“This will be our fourth visit to ‘Surf City USA’. Santa Cruz is known as one of the best beach towns in the country, and we love going there. It is such a special place for our LFA fans to attend an event. We have had capacity crowds at all our previous events. This shows me that if you provide the area fans with a quality event, they will come out and support it. I also really enjoy working with the Warriors entertainment staff. They are hardworking, with an attention to detail. Our teams work so well together, and always put out the best product for the fans. I look forward to another great night and a full house on May 9th!”
Santa Cruz Warriors Chief Operating Officer David Kao added:
“We are very excited to welcome LFA back to Kaiser Permanente Arena once more! I can’t reemphasize enough the importance of LFA as the premier developmental organization in mixed martial arts, and our relationship is such a natural fit given that the Warriors share a similar commitment to identifying and cultivating talent. Our last event in September drew fans from Santa Cruz, San Jose, the Central Coast, and the San Joaquin Valley for an electrifying night of combat sports. The level of competition in the LFA octagon and the fan excitement in the arena continues to reach new heights with every event we host. We cannot wait to experience the energy again in May!”

“We will then close out the month of May by breaking ground at a new venue, Malai Manso Resort in Cuiabá, Brazil. This event will also be a special Saturday night broadcast set for May 24th.” stated Bean.
“This will be a very unique type of event for the LFA in Brazil. We will put on an 5 star event, for an intimate crowd, at a world class resort. Once again, Feijão and our Brazilian team have raised the bar. I’m very excited to see what they have in store for us at this beautiful destination. ” continued Bean.
LFA VP of South America Rafael Feijão added:
“I’m really looking forward to producing this LFA event in May. The whole idea came about after successful businessman Gustavo Cuibano attended one of our shows in Cajamar. He was very impressed with all levels of the production. The plan was quickly put together to bring the LFA to the Malai Manso Resort. It’s also going to be very special to me personally, as I am originally from Cuiabá. My roots are strong here. It just feels like the right thing to do, and bring a special type of event back to my hometown. It’s going to be a great celebration, but also an amazing night of MMA as well. I can’t wait!
LFA 209 will be broadcast live at 5PM PST/8PM EST on UFC FIGHT PASS®
