Second consecutive success on the Ladies European Tour for English Mimi Rhodes, who won the Joburg Ladies Open on the Modderfontein Golf Club course (par 73) in Johannesburg, South Africa, with 205 (65 69 71, -14) shots, where she narrowly beat home player Casandra Alexander, second with 206 (-13).

In the final round, Anna Zanusso recovered ten positions, from 27th to 17th with 215 (70 75 70, -4), and Alessandra Fanali seventeen, from 45th to 28th with 217 (72 74 71, -2). Further back was Alessia Nobilio, 54th with 221 (71 75 75, +2).
Euphemie “Mimi” Rhodes, 23, from Taunton, proette since 2024, excellent amateur career, has made a double in just five events played on the circuit after taking the ‘card’ in December with the 19th place at the Qualifying School. Previously she had won the Ford Women’s NSW Open in Australia beating Alessandra Fanali. In her palmarés also a seal on the LET Access (Lavaux Ladies Open). She took the lead in the opening round, then in the second she extended the advantage over Alexander to three shots and, finally, contained the opponent’s comeback with a 71 (-2, three birdies, one bogey) against the partial of 69 (-4, five birdies, one bogey) of the South African. For the exploit she received a cheque for 45,000 euros on a prize pool of 300,000 euros.
In third place with 208 (-11) the German Helen Briem (last year one victory on the LET and four on the LET Access), in fourth with 209 (-10) the Irish Lauren Walsk and the Swedish Kajsa Arwefjall, in 2024 number 1 of the second continental women’s tour, and in sixth with 210 (-9) the South African Kiera Floyd and the Swiss Chiara Tamburlini, who was defending one of the three titles won last season where she was the leader of the order of merit.
Anna Zanusso made a 70 (-3) with three birdies, Alessandra Fanali a 71 (-2) with four birdies and two bogeys, and Alessia Nobilio shot a 75 (+2) with three birdies, as many bogeys and a double bogey.
Next week the LET will remain in South Africa where the Investec SA Women’s Open is scheduled (10-13 April), at the Erinvale Country & Golf Estate in Cape Town, where the three Italians will once again be on the field.
