Lamine Yamal will attempt to put recent off-field controversies behind him this afternoon when Barcelona hold a second event to mark the teenager signing a new contract.
Yamal penned the deal in May that ties him to the Spanish champions until 2031 but did so without either his grandmother Fatima or brother Keyne in attendance.
He will return to the club offices this afternoon with his entire family in tow with Barca also due to release a set of images showing the recently turned 18-year-old celebrating the moment with president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco.

New deal reflects Yamal’s stature
The new deal, reportedly worth £325,000 a week, makes him the highest-paid teenager in world football and reflects his importance to Barca.
Yamal emerged on the global scene during Euro 2024 with a string of impressive performances to help Spain win the trophy.
And he backed it up last season, growing into one of the most important players in the Barca squad as the club claimed a domestic double.
He has rapidly become the face of Barcelona, although it is unlikely club chiefs will be too impressed with recent front-page headlines involving the young winger.
Yamal remains at centre of party rumpus
Yamal’s birthday bash at the weekend has courted controversy with reports suggesting dwarves were used as entertainment.
Government minister Jesus Martin has demanded an investigation while the Association of People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias (ADEE) condemned the incident as “unacceptable”.
One of the entertainers with dwarfism backed Lamal, telling RAC1: “No-one disrespected us, leave us to work in peace.
“I don’t understand why there is so much hype. We are normal people who dedicate ourselves to what we want in an absolutely legal way.”
The incident occurred just weeks after Yamal was pictured holidaying with an OnlyFans star 12 years his senior.
Barca will hope these are minor distractions ahead of a new season that will see Yamal handed the club’s number 10 shirt made famous by the likes of Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona and Ronaldinho at Camp Nou.
