The 2024-2024 NFL season wraps up this evening with Super Bowl LIX. This year’s Super Bowl features the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the Philadelphia Eagles. The Chiefs are going for their third consecutive Super Bowl Championship, a record they would hold alone. The Eagles are looking to avenge their loss to the Chiefs in the 2023 Super Bowl, which kicked off the Chiefs’ current streak of winning the Championship.
With the last two titles (SB LIV 2023; SB LVIII 2024) going to Kansas City, the Chiefs’ current starting quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, has three championship rings. One of the more prominent storylines this evening will be Mahomes chasing Tom Brady for his record seven rings. Before the current streak, the Chiefs also won Super Bowl IV in 1970 and Super Bowl LVII in 2020. A victory this evening would hand the Eagles their second-ever title, having also won Super Bowl LII in 2018.
