Justin Gaethje had a great night at UFC 313, but he didn’t leave Las Vegas unscathed.

“The Highlight” scored a second win over Rafael Fiziev and captured a second Fight of the Night bonus for that matchup at the March 8 pay-per-view, so overall Gaethje had to be thrilled with his latest performance. He’s now won three of his past four fights and remains in the thick of the lightweight title picture.

However, in behind-the-scenes footage released the following week, Gaethje addressed a potential issue with his toes, saying they were “f*cked.” The good news is the damage appears to be mostly superficial, as Gaethje shared a gnarly photo of his scraped-up toes via Instagram Stories on Saturday.

Check them out below.

“They already showed you my feet on television so here they are one week after the fight,” Gaethje wrote. “This is from dragging my feet on the canvas when I throw punches. You do not want to be an Ultimate Fighter.”

Despite the discomfort he must have been in, Gaethje won a unanimous decision over Fiziev to move to 2-0 in their series. He also earned a $50,000 bonus for the 14th time across 14 UFC appearances.

Post-fight, Gaethje told reporters his plans are still to win a UFC title after two previous failed attempts to capture lightweight gold.
