It’s been a long road back to playing regularly for Orlando Magic big man Jonathan Isaac. Now, Isaac’s return to the court has been rewarded.
Isaac earned a $2.6 million bonus by playing in his 70th game of the regular season on Friday. That will take Isaac’s salary from $25 million to $27.6 million this season.
When the Magic and Isaac renegotiated-and-extended his contract, they bumped his salary up to a base of $25 million. That deal then still included the $2.6 million bonus.
In future years, Isaac has no bonuses for games played. However, his contract includes guarantee triggers for the final three seasons based on games played in the previous season.
