The Jets went offensive line with their first draft pick for the second straight year.

They selected Missouri tackle Armand Membou with the No. 7 overall pick Thursday night, one year after they took Penn State tackle Olu Fashanu at No. 11 overall.

Membou and Fashanu can give the Jets bookend tackles for years to come.

Membou slots in as the starting right tackle on an offensive line that played pretty well late last season.

He was a three-year starter at right tackle for Missouri, so there is no projection involved in the position.

“Overall Membou might not have the ideal height (6-4) for a tackle, but he plays long with exceptional control and finishing skills,” The Athletic’s Dane Brugler said in his draft preview.

“His tools remind me of Troy Fautanu from the 2024 draft class, and all the talent is there for him to become a long-term NFL starting tackle.”

Membou is the first draft choice of the new Jets regime – general manager Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn.

They have seven remaining picks in the draft, including one each in the second and third rounds Friday.
