Rising featherweight star Jean Silva extended his winning streak to 13 consecutive fights on Saturday, submitting Bryce Mitchell on the UFC 314 main card.
Silva requested the match-up after hearing Mitchell’s controversial comments about Adolf Hitler. The fight quickly turned into a grudge match resulting in verbal exchanges at the press conferences leading up to Saturday’s event in Miami.
Silva outclassed Mitchell in the fight. He dropped “Thug Nasty” at one point and ended up winning via submission in the third round. Following the fight, Silva was interviewed inside the octagon and questioned Mitchell’s mental stability.
“I’m sad for him. I’m sad for him. And you know what, I hope you all hope and pray and help out Bryce Mitchell because I don’t think he’s right in the head,” Silva told Joe Rogan following the fight.
