Tom Thibodeau said that he expects Jalen Brunson to return to the New York Knicks lineup from a sprained ankle before the playoffs begin.
“He’s doing light shooting and he’s out of the boot,” said Thibodeau on Thursday. “So there’s steady progress and we’ll see where it goes from there.”
Thibodeau added that Brunson will get another checkup on Friday.
It was reported over the weekend that Brunson was not expected to return until late March or early April.
Brunson initially suffered the injury on March 6.
