Jake Paul won’t be intimidated and extra importantly, won’t be silenced.

“El Gallo” was lately sued for defamation following his claims that Matchroom Boxing, helmed by longtime promoter Eddie Hearn, bribed decide Glenn Feldman to return favorable scorecards within the Amanda Serrano vs. Katie Taylor and Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk title fights.

Paul claims the lawsuit represents an “intimidation tactic to sit back [his] freedom of speech and to silence different critics of the boxing business,” in accordance with MMA Combating.

The social media boxer, who fights Mike Tyson subsequent month on Netflix, is now countersuing for “reimbursement of his attorneys’ charges, compensatory damages, and punitive damages.”

Feldman joined Hearn’s lawsuit as co-plaintiff.

“Anti-SLAPP legal guidelines have been primarily enacted to guard towards plaintiffs who filed claims looking for to suppress freedom of speech, [but] these statutes weren’t enacted to guard maliciously false or defamatory statements — which Paul’s remarks clearly represent,” Eddie Hearn’s lawyer, Frank Salzano, wrote in an announcement to TMZ Sports activities.

Either side are anticipated to seem for a pre-trial listening to right now (Oct. 16) in New York.
