It’s Time To Ditch The WBA, WBC And WBO! Time To Revamp The NBA!

By Jimmy James: Recently, Turki Al Sheikh made a controversial comment on X, stating he no longer wants to see “Tom and Jerry” type fights, hinting at the performance of Devin Haney vs Jose Ramirez a few weeks ago at Times Square.

Latino casual fans from Mexico and countries in South America adhere to Turki’s view that there should be no “running” in boxing and even propose it should be permanently banned. Philippine casual fans also praise low IQ brawler fights like Charly Suarez vs Enmanuel Navarrete, and despise the Floyd Mayweather Jr. boxing style.

Most of these nations only develop the same ED-209 Robocop robots, with the exception of Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Japan, and Ukraine. Once they start changing the rules of boxing into a brawler-friendly match, the next step will be to ban clinching from the sport.

Most of these nations that despise the American style of defensive boxing want to change the rules because their boxers are technically limited and one-dimensional. If we ban or change the rules, the sport of boxing will turn into a 19th-century bare-knuckle fighting fest.

A few foreign Latino boxers already duck American boxers because they don’t have the boxing skills and IQ to defeat our talents. Many Mexican YouTube and media network channels habitually paint boxers like Shakur Stevenson in a bad light, but willingly fail to critique the terrible one-sided slug fest, low IQ brawls their boxers offer in return. They also never question why a few of their boxers never unify, and are granted access to titles, ducking challenges in the process.

Having two cavemen hit each other to see who falls first is literally dumb and brainless, taking away from the beauty of boxing. Also, the boxers receiving brutal punishment will likely suffer a brain contusion that could lead to permanent brain damage, quickly shortening their careers.

USA boxing should not play along with Turki’s boxing reforms to please low-IQ casual fans who have no long-term interest in learning the sweet science that incorporates different styles, even the styles they don´t like.

USA boxing is still the best in the world, and most foreigners don’t appreciate our styles. Styles make fights; a good brawler with IQ will beat a good boxer who fights backwards. They claim that boxers who run are not “worth paying”, but don’t realize that most brawlers, even at the elite level, get paid less than boxers like Devin Haney, who are accused of running.

Boxers like David Morrell Jr, Gary Antuanne Russell, Jose Ramirez, and William Zepeda, to name a few, don’t get paid as well as Devin Haney, and these boxers are supposed to pack action-style fights in the ring! They claim runners are boring to watch and not fan-friendly, a snooze fest, yet they don’t purchase PPVs from boxers who actually brawl.

It’s time for the USA to abandon the world stage and leave these critics with their own brawling competitions, so we don’t have to worry about changing our rules. It’s time to go back to the National Boxing Association and back to eight divisions again. Have a new national boxing championship and allow only a certain number of foreign boxers to participate who won’t duck our best talent. Countries like Cuba, Canada, and the Dominican Republic should automatically participate.

Under a revived NBA championship, not participating in world organizations like the WBO, WBC, and WBA, there won’t be a need to unify belts again. The USA NBA championship will be the undisputed belt, with only one champion per division, one king, and one ruler. A revived NBA championship would finally end our controversial bond with the WBC, WBA, and WBO, and they would die out quickly.

Those Latino critics who claim that Devin Haney is boring in America could now watch all the fights Mexico offers under the WBC or other organizations inside their country (MEXICO). All the low IQ, one-dimensional boxing would be available with the now antiquated world organizations on different streaming platforms. But just like the National Basketball Association, the USA boxing NBA belt would be the ruler and king of all boxing belts. It’s time to go back to our roots and ditch these countries that dish us along with these corrupt world organizations, as our base talent is greater in depth than all their base talent put together. Trust me, they will come back on their knees asking to participate in the NBA.
