IHRA Sets Five-Race Outlaw Nitro Series Slate

FAIRFIELD, Ohio — After years of anticipation, fans will finally experience the explosive return of one of drag racing’s most electrifying series.

The IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series will return to competition July 9-12 at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio.

It will be the first of five stops on the that will conclude Nov. 5-8 at North Carolina’s GALOT Motorsports Park.

On Friday and Saturday, the 2025 IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series will feature a powerhouse lineup including Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, Mountain Motor Pro Stock, Pro Mod, Pro Nitrous, Outlaw Snowmobiles, and a full slate of sportsman classes—all backed by competitive purses.

IHRA Pro-Am events will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, featuring Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Stock, Super Stock, Quick Rod, Super Rod, and Hot Rod. These classes will compete in both the Pro-Am and throughout the Outlaw Nitro Series weekend, showcasing some of the best sportsman racing in the country.

The tour will also visit Michigan’s Milan Dragway on July 23-26, makes a second visit to National Trail on Sept. 3-6 and an event at Ohio’s Dragway 42 on Sept. 24-27.
