Xander Schauffele’s return was what golf fans wanted, and after last night’s performance at TGL, everyone was delighted. The popular golfer was sidelined for several weeks due to a rib injury, which caused immediate concern among golf fans. After last night’s performance on TGL, Xander decided to share how he feels about the injury.

The 31-year-old admitted that it was difficult to be sidelined for a long time, appreciating this sport more. Although he hopes for great performances, it is difficult to give a real answer as to how ready his body is. Nevertheless, Xander stresses that he feels quite good, looking forward to the next challenge in his career.

“Yeah, it’s awesome. I missed being out, and just sitting at home, you sort of appreciate a lot of things when you’re sort of sidelined. Got some juices flowing. Even though you’re hitting into a screen, you’re still a bit nervous, just not really being competitive as of late,” he said, as reported by The Golfing Gazette.

“I feel good, and looking forward to getting over to Bay Hill.”

Arnold Palmer Invitational

The Arnold Palmer Invitational is his next challenge, although Xander has not been particularly successful playing in this tournament. The 31-year-old has never had a better result in this tournament than 24th.

It is important to point out that due to his absence from the first few tournaments, the 31-year-old fell to 3rd place on the OWGR list, with Rory McIlroy becoming world number 2. Although he has a small difference compared to Xander, McIlroy wants to take advantage and maintain it until the end.

Schauffele wants to become world number 1, and he will have the opportunity to do so in the next few months. Can he be as impressive as last year?

Scottie Scheffler watches them all from the top position, aiming to make this year even more successful for him. It will be interesting this season, we have no doubts!
