Group Canada has been drawn in opposition to Germany within the quarter-finals of the 2024 Davis Cup, the ITF confirmed on Thursday. The Closing 8 Knockout Stage will happen in Malaga, Spain from November 19-24.

Canada, ranked No.3, final confronted Germany (No. 5) within the quarter-finals of their 2022 Davis Cup title-winning marketing campaign. A singles victory for Félix Auger-Aliassime over Oscar Otte and Denis Shapovalov and Vasek Pospisil’s doubles win in opposition to Tim Puetz and Kevin Krawietz secured their passage into the semi-finals.

Led by captain Frank Dancevic, the Canadian workforce that includes Auger-Aliassime, Shapovalov, Gabriel Diallo, Alexis Galarneau and Pospisil sealed its place within the Closing 8 throughout final week’s Group Stage in Manchester, UK. They gained all three ties, in opposition to Argentina, Finland and Nice Britain respectively, to prime Group D.

Three-time Davis Cup champions Germany, in the meantime, completed second in Group C with a 2-1 file having misplaced to group winners america and beating Slovakia and Chile in Zhuhai, China.

The winner of the tie between Canada and Germany, set to happen between November 19-21, will face both Spain or the Netherlands, who contest the opposite quarter-final within the backside half of the draw, within the semi-finals.
