The social media sensation also gave her views on the criticism of golf influencers and revealed her next career move.
Despite the rivalry, Charis believes that any publicity is good for golf. She also stated that she’s happy to continue contributing to the growth of the sport. When asked about her rivalry with Spiranac, Charis stated that she doesn’t know much about the 32-year-old’s content.
“I get compared to her a lot, but I don’t know much of her stuff,” Charis said about their comparison. “It doesn’t come up on my feed, either. So I don’t know too much about what she does, but she seems nice. She seems like she’s a good golfer, too,” she added.

Grace Charis: Rising Reputation and Influence Off the Course
Charis has become one of the most popular golf influencers in recent years. She has a massive following on Instagram where she shares playing tips and glamorous pictures. The 22-year-old’s rise in status has led to comparisons with Spiranac and she’s only just 400,000 followers behind the highly-rated influencer. Spiranac has over 4 million followers. However, Charis remains behind Spiranac on handicaps with a rating of +3.4. Spiranac boasts of a rating of +5.
“I think that’s good for everybody, to be good at the sport and promote the sport. It’s kind of the goal,” the 22-year-old continued. Charis has tagged her profile with “Your favorite golf girl.” Her credentials soared last June when she posted a video of her first ever hole in one.

Charis also responded to criticisms from some golfers. Both influencers have mixed reputations among golfers. Rory McIlroy recently referred to them as “entertainment adjacent,” implying that they distract fans from the real game. Charis dismissed the criticism from the Northern Irishman, and stated that any publicity is good publicity.
“Sometimes people aren’t there for the golf game and they’re there just because I’m a pretty face or something,” she said of the criticism. “But they’re still getting exposed to the game. I think at the end of the day, no matter what, the game of golf is still getting pushed, which is kind of what I want to share with people – my love for the game.”
The American also revealed that she intends to change her contents as time goes on. Charis will be switching her emphasis from cheekier posts to more golf coaching-based videos in the future to reach an even wider audience.
