The School of Alameda named Gary Payton Sr. as the brand new head coach of the boys’s basketball crew.
“Through the interview course of, he spoke about having our student-athletes locally, giving again. The vitality and fervour that he brings alongside together with his real love for the East Bay is unmatched,” stated athletic director Ramaundo Vaughn.
Payton was the top coach of NAIA Lincoln College in Oakland for the previous three years.
The School of Alameda went 7-21 final season.
