Fonseca sorprende al tremendous ex campeon AMB Corrales en Costa Rica » July 22, 2024

El aguerrido nicaragüense y ex dos veces retador al título mundial Francisco Fonseca (34-4-2, 28 KOs) obtuvo una sorprendente victoria y la más importante de su carrera al derrotar al tremendous ex campeón mundial de la AMB Jezreel “El Invisible” Corrales (26-7-4, 10 KOs) de Panamá.

El evento se llevó a cabo el sábado por la noche en el mítico Estadio Ricardo Saprissa Ayma, en San Juan de Tibás, Costa Rica. Hubo muchos abrazos al principio de la pelea, pero las cosas terminaron sorpresivamente en el cuarto asalto con un gancho muy corto de Fonseca al mentón de Corrales, quien cayó a la lona. El árbitro dictaminó que Corrales no estaba en condiciones de continuar y detuvo la pelea a los 2:51 del cuarto asalto. ESPN Knockout televisó el evento.

Es la octava pelea del ex tremendous campeon Corrales en los últimos 5 años siendo esta la quinta derrota en este periodo aunque todas han sido en el extranjero.

Corrales de 33 años parecía podía ganar este combate por su experiencia pero fue sorpresivo por la fortaleza y empuje de Fonseca de 30 años que hacía su séptima pelea en los últimos 5 años.
