Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has said that it is too early to say how likely Barcelona are to win three major titles this season following their 3-1 victory over Benfica in the Champions League on Tuesday.

That victory secured a 4-1 aggregate win for Barcelona, booking their place in a Champions League quarter-final against Borussia Dortmund or Lille.

Barcelona are also unbeaten in 17 matches in all competitions, while they are top of LaLiga and are also in the semi-final of the Copa del Rey.

“First things first, we need to focus on the quarter-final and be well prepared for the opponents we face next,” Flick said in the aftermath of the Benfica win.

“The Champions League is the most difficult trophy that exists and sure, we hope we can keep advancing and be good enough to win it all but that is still a long way to go.”

Barcelona will learn their opponents in the next round of the Champions League on Wednesday, while they will travel to Atletico Madrid for the second leg of their cup game on 2 April following a 4-4 draw in the first leg.

In LaLiga, meanwhile, just one point separates Barcelona and third-placed Atletico Madrid, with Real Madrid second only on goal difference. Flick’s side do, though, have a game in hand on both Madrid sides.

But on Tuesday, a superb Barcelona dismantled Benfica thanks to a brace from Raphinha and a superb individual goal by Lamine Yamal in a rampant first half.

“I’m happy, we respected Benfica, they did a great job, they made it difficult for us, but we did very well, I’m proud,” Flick said.

“Lamine hadn’t scored for a long time, six games and over a month, so he’s happy because it was a very important goal for us, a brilliant effort. We are all happy for him because he is a great kid and a fantastic player.”
