Gujarat Titans (GT) faced a heartbreaking exit in the IPL 2025 Eliminator clash against Mumbai Indians (MI) on May 31. The five-time champions posted a commanding total of 228 after electing to bat. MI opener Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant 81 off 50 balls and was well-supported by Jonny Bairstow (47 off 22), Suryakumar Yadav (33 off 20), and some late fireworks from Tilak Varma (25 off 11) and Hardik Pandya (22 off 9). In response, GT opener Sai Sudharsan put up a tough fight with 80 off 49, and put together a crucial partnership with Washington Sundar (48 off 24), but GT fell short by 20 runs in an emotional end to their campaign.
