Josh Emmett appears to be in good shape heading into his Octagon return tomorrow night (Sat., April 5, 2025) at UFC Vegas 105 LIVE on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, but fight fans are still worried about the way he looked during Friday’s official weigh ins (results HERE).
Emmett, who turned 40 last month, will meet undefeated featherweight contender Lerone Murphy in Saturday’s main event. It will be nearly 16 months removed from the last time fight fans saw Emmett compete, which resulted in a viral knockout win over Bryce Mitchell back at UFC 296 in Dec. 2023. That layoff isn’t something we haven’t seen before, but it shouldn’t be taken lightly since Emmett is now in his 40’s.
On Friday, Emmett was the first fighter to step on the scale for UFC Vegas 105’s official weigh ins. As usual, the veteran fighter hit the 146-pound featherweight benchmark like he always does. In fact, the only time Emmett has ever missed weight came against Ricardo Lamas all the way back in 2017 when he was just a few pounds overweight.
While Emmett successfully hit weight for Saturday’s main event clash with “The Miracle,” some fight fans were shocked at the way he looked. To be honest, Emmett seemed less depleted this time around compared to previous weight cuts, but the social media masses still had a ton to say.
Check out Emmett’s official weigh in below followed by some key fan reaction:
“Totally normal abs.”
