In a shock transfer, Ferrari has introduced that Enrico Cardile is quitting his position as Technical Director Chassis Space with quick impact.

The Maranello outfit introduced the shock information in a short press launch.

“Scuderia Ferrari HP pronounces that Enrico Cardile is leaving the corporate, due to this fact relinquishing his position as Technical Director Chassis Space,” it learn.

“After virtually 20 years with Ferrari, Cardile has handed in his discover and due to this fact, with quick impact, and as an interim measure, the Chassis Space can be overseen by the Group Principal, Frederic Vasseur.

“Everybody at Scuderia Ferrari HP thanks Enrico for all his laborious work over so a few years.”

Qualifying with a level in Aeronautical Engineering from Pisa College – his thesis being on the Ferrari wind tunnel – he subsequently labored on the college whereas collaborating with Ferrari on an aerodynamic innovation venture.

In 2005, he joined the Maranello firm the place he labored on the design of racing variations of the Gran Turismo 458 Italia GT2 and GT3 and 488 GTE and GT3, all of which had been dominant of their respective championships.

In 2016, he joined the Gestione Sportiva as Head of Aero Improvement, and the next was made Car Mission Supervisor.

In 2019 he turned Head of Aerodynamics and Car Mission Supervisor whereas in August 2020 he was appointed head of a brand new Efficiency Improvement Division. From January 2021 he has been head of the Chassis Space, and subsequently appointed Technical Director Chassis and Aerodynamics in 2023.

In Could it was introduced that Loic Serra, previously the Efficiency Director at Mercedes, was to tackle the position of Head of Chassis Efficiency Engineering, reporting on to Cardile.

In latest months the Italian has been strongly linked with a transfer to Aston Martin.
