Ferrari has an ‘illness’. I don’t agree with Fred Vasseur

Executive coach, emotional speaker and testimonial Luigi Mazzola spoke on the Sky program Race Anatomy about the issues with the SF-25 single-seater in Japan at the 5.807-kilometre Suzuka Circuit and expressed disagreement with Ferrari team principal Frédéric Vasseur.

Luigi Mazzola’s commentsHere are the statements from the former Ferrari engineer: “Fred Vasseur said the car’s balance needs to be fixed before bringing upgrades. Unfortunately, balance is something that’s difficult to fix—it’s like an illness that’s hard to cure, let’s put it that way. I don’t agree with Fred Vasseur; I would strongly push for upgrades, honestly. They bring more downforce, more efficiency, and therefore better lap times.” – he pointed out.

“Then of course, given how the car was initially conceived, it will need work race by race to sort it out, to fine-tune it. At the same time, though, you can’t put upgrades on hold. So Ferrari is not in a favorable position at the moment,” Luigi Mazzola concluded.

And you, whose side are you on? The engineer’s or the Scuderia’s team principal? Let us know in a comment.
