The 10,000m cup is one of the most under-rated events ont he EA calendar. For several years, it was held as part of Night of 10,000m PBs hosted in London. This year, Night of 10,000m PBs is taking a break.

The 27th edition of the European 10,000m Cup takes place in Pacé, France on Saturday 24 May and will be streamed live via the European Athletics YouTube channel from 18:55 CEST without any restrictions and with English commentary.

 

Names to watch include the women’s half marathon winner in April’s Brussels-Leuven 2025 European Running Championships, Chloe Herbiet of Belgium; Latvia’s hot prospect Agate Caune, the European U20 5000m/3000m gold medallist; Irish record holder Efrem Gidey and France’s Valentin Gondouin, who won bronze in the men’s 10k in Brussels-Leuven 2025.

 

 

Previous winners at the event include Olympic gold medallists Mo Farah (GBR), Dieter Baumann (GER) and Fernanda Ribeiro (POR). Team and individual medals are up for grabs in both men’s and women’s races.
