Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe has told his club’s bosses not to sell Alexander Isak in the summer transfer window, according to GiveMeSport. Arsenal are keen on a deal for the Sweden international striker, but Howe is adamant that Newcastle need to keep him.
Isak joined Newcastle from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2022. The 25-year-old has established himself as one of the finest strikers in the Premier League and has been superb for the Magpies. Isak has scored 17 goals and given five assists in 22 Premier League games so far this season and scored 21 goals and provided two assists in 27 league starts in the 2023-24 campaign.
Newcastle are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 41 points from 24 matches, just two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, while Arsenal currently find themselves second in the standings with 50 points from 24 games, seven points behind leaders Liverpool.
