Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links …
The six most likely Eagles first-round picks – PhillyVoice1) Walter Nolen, iDL, Ole Miss | Consensus big board ranking: 18th. Nolan was once the No. 1 recruit in the nation (via ESPN recruiting) coming out of high school. He is gifted with an extremely enticing blend of power and quickness, and while his production was disappointing early in his college career, it improved throughout and he was a disruptive force in 2024. He has exciting traits and high upside, and really shouldn’t be available at pick 32, if we’re only looking at his talent. So why might he be available at pick 32? He has “character concerns,” which stem from the fact that he attended five different schools in high school and college, which some view negatively. A lot of teams picking in the top 10 of the 2023 draft should be embarrassed that they passed on Jalen Carter because of his character concerns, and I believe the Eagles would be thrilled if they had another chance to select a gifted iDL who fell because he doesn’t have a perfect background.
Draft IQ: Explore every team’s biggest needs and most likely draft-day targets – NFL.comChad Reuter: DT Walter Nolen, Mississippi. Acquiring Nolen would be the best way for the Eagles to make up for the loss of Milton Williams. The young tackle can play outside and inside, depending on the called front and any weaknesses in the opposing offensive line. Philadelphia sends its third-round choice to the Rams to make this pick.
An easy answer in latest fan-sourced Eagles mock draft – NBCSPRound 1-32: Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss. There’s a reason Nolen has been one of the most popular names linked to the Eagles during this pre-draft process. Nolen (6-4, 300) is a disruptive interior defensive tackle who has shown an ability to penetrate and get pressure on opposing quarterbacks. After a couple seasons at Texas A&M, Nolen shined in his one season at Ole Miss, picking up 6 1/2 sacks and 14 tackles for loss. He was a consensus All-American and First-Team All-SEC. After losing Milton Williams in free agency, Nolen should help fill that void in the middle of the Eagles’ defensive line.
Eagles draft: Walter Nolen or Malaki Starks at 32? Making the case for each and other priorities – InquirerEJ: If the Eagles stick and pick at No. 32, it’s likely because a player they value highly has made it that far into the round. With that being said, I’m going to pick one of the crowd favorites and someone you have actually projected to the Eagles in a previous mock draft: Ole Miss defensive tackle Walter Nolen. Nolen would give the Eagles a slashing interior rusher with plenty of upside to pair with Jalen Carter. He’s got some versatility to play from multiple alignments and has the tools to wreak havoc against one-on-one blocks in the way that Williams did for the team last year. I actually don’t think defensive tackle is a pressing need for the team in the short-term because of how encouraging Moro Ojomo’s play was late last season, but I think Nolen would give the Eagles a chance at having two premier interior rushers in the long-term.
NFL mock draft 2025: Updated projection goes outside the box of conventional wisdom – SB Nation31. Kansas City Chiefs: Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss. If Nolen slides this far, don’t be surprised if the Eagles trade up ahead of Kansas City to draft Nolen, but here he ends up with the Chiefs. Nolen has to be more consistent as a run defender, but he’s got the athleticism and violence to be an impactful complementary pass rusher to Chris Jones. […] 32. Philadelphia Eagles: Donovan Jackson, OL, Ohio State Jackson is one of the most fascinating prospects in the class, a guard who played his best football at tackle. He ends up in Philly to replace Mekhi Becton at right guard, but he could truly play guard or tackle at the next level.
Philadelphia Eagles NFL Draft 2025 Positional Needs: Tight End – BGNPhiladelphia is in a bit of a bind at the tight end position currently. Starter Dallas Goedert is a valuable, yet injury prone, veteran that could be moved after June 1 to clear up some cap space and the backups are all varying levels of unproven. Grant Calcaterra would appear to be TE1 if the Birds move on from Goedert, while new signings Kylen Granson and Harrison Bryant would compete for backup snaps. I’ll be honest with you here…without Goedert that is an extremely underwhelming group of tight ends for the defending Super Bowl champs. Allowing a rookie tight end to join this room would be ideal and having Goedert there to mentor them would be even more ideal. Let’s take a look at a trio of tight ends the Eagles could draft in April to help offset/replace some of Goedert’s production.
Interesting Choices – Iggles BlitzI really struggle with who the Eagles should take at 32. I lean toward an OL. Gray Zabel would make a lot of sense, but I just don’t see him falling all the way to 32. That would leave Josh Conerly or Donovan Jackson. Conerly is the better OT prospect. Jackson has started at LT and LG. He can play inside or outside in the NFL. Don’t get me wrong. There is a part of me that would love to add to the DL. I just think you can do that outside of the first round and find what you’re looking for. I’m really curious to see how all of this plays out. One more week to go.
2025 NFL draft buzz: QB intel, trade rumors, bold predictions – ESPN+Propose a late-Round 1 or Round 2 trade that could make sense. Reid: The Philadelphia Eagles trade Nos. 32 and 168 to the Jacksonville Jaguars for Nos. 36 and 107. With 10 draft picks, Jacksonville can be aggressive in addressing holes on the roster. Finding a WR2 alongside Brian Thomas Jr. should be a priority. If Missouri’s Luther Burden III or Ohio State’s Emeka Egbuka are on the board at the end of the first round, then this is a move that’s worth making. New general manager James Gladstone was part of a Rams front office that wasn’t afraid to make a bold trade up for a player. Los Angeles did it last year to get Braden Fiske.

Todd McShay makes best case yet for Commanders going defense in the first round – Hogs HavenMore importantly than difference-makers, the Commanders need closers, and the GMs that McShay has gotten a chance to have conversations with and study understand the importance of finishing games on the defensive side of the football. “I remember talking to Bill Polian, the old GM for the Colts when he came and worked at ESPN. One of his big things was that we had to get pass rushers on that turf. I can remember how passionate he was. We had to have closers, guys who could close the game. Talking to Howie Roseman at the combine. He said the same way, “We had we had to find closers.” The Commanders are in a position now that they have their guy, and they can be patient and sit back. If it’s an edge rusher, awesome. But if it’s not, then we take a player that everyone in the league thinks is one of the 20, 24, 25 best players in the league in Starks, and let’s take him and get a difference maker.”
Cowboys add veteran offensive lineman Hakeem Adeniji – Blogging The BoysHakeem Adeniji joins the Cowboys as a versatile option who can play either guard or tackle. Adeniji, a Texas native, played at Garland High School before going to University of Kansas where he was a 2019 conference All-American in the Big 12. Adeniji has played in 43 career NFL games and has started 15 of them. He was a sixth-round pick of the Bengals in 2020. He was injured all of last year while on the Browns roster. The Cowboys do need to replenish their offensive line with more depth to challenge guys already on the roster.
New York Giants mock draft tracker: Abdul Carter clear top choice for Giants – Big Blue ViewPenn State edge defender Abdul Carter has emerged as the clear top choice for the New York Giants in our most recent Giants mock draft tracker. The recent speculation in the draft community is that the Giants will select Carter after the Tennessee Titans take quarterback Cam Ward at No. 1 and the Cleveland Browns select Travis Hunter at No. 2. Mock drafters have followed suit. Carter, who would join Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux as part of a talented edge group, was the choice in 37 of 72 mock draft (51.4%). A week ago, Carter and Hunter were tied as the top choice for New York, each chosen in 37.8% of mock drafts. At his pre-draft press conference on Wednesday, Giants GM Joe Schoen expressed no concern about finding enough playing time for Carter, Burns and Thibodeaux.
