Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links …
10 highest-graded players from Super Bowl 59 – PFF1. CB Cooper DeJean, Philadelphia Eagles (90.9). It was a birthday to remember for the 22-year-old rookie. DeJean returned his first career interception 38 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter and finished the night as the game’s best coverage defender (91.0). He allowed a 50-yard completion to Xavier Worthy late in the third quarter but was otherwise stingy in coverage, letting up 85 yards on six completions. DeJean allowed the lowest passer rating (80.5) among slot cornerbacks this postseason and graded as Philadelphia’s second-best cornerback (79.2). […] 2. DI Milton Williams, Philadelphia Eagles (90.9). Williams registered two sacks and two hurries across 23 pass-rushing snaps, earning a game-high 92.6 PFF pass-rushing grade. He also recorded a 19.0% pass-rush win rate. Sunday night capped off a breakout run for the fourth-year man out of Louisiana Tech. He graded as the third-best interior defensive lineman this postseason (85.7), largely because of his work as a rusher. Williams led the position in pass-rush grading (91.4), tallying 14 pressures at a 12.7% clip. He also notched the third-best pass-rush win rate among defensive interior linemen (17.3%).
NFL rookie grades: Ranking each 2024 draft class, from No. 1 to 32 – NFL.com7) Philadelphia Eagles. A Super Bowl-winning group! And these rookies weren’t just along for the ride, either, as we all saw in the 40-22 demolition of Kansas City. Each of Philadelphia’s first three draft picks had a memorable moment in an eye-popping second quarter that essentially secured the franchise’s second Lombardi Trophy.
What They’re Saying About The Super Bowl Champion Eagles: Got Our LIX In (Quarter 1) – BGNThe Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl Champions. Jalen Hurts and company went against the two time defending champions and beat the ever loving hell out of them. We all saw it, we know that the final score does not show how one sided this game was. The Chiefs didn’t even make to it the Eagles end of the field until the third quarter. Patrick Mahomes spent the vast majority of the game running for his life. Failing to do so a few times throughout the game. Fangio’s defense made Mahomes look like the quarterback that people say Hurts is. Speaking of Jalen Hurts…
Eagles fans tore down traffic lights, burned Kermit, rode horses after 2025 Super Bowl win – SB NationIf there’s one thing Philly sports fans are going to do, it’s party hard after one of their teams wins a championship. It happened on Sunday night when the Philadelphia Eagles absolutely clobbered the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2025 Super Bowl. The Eagles’ defense was dominant, and QB Jalen Hurts forever proved himself by hitting every critical pass throughout the night. Two years after losing to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl in heartbreaking fashion, the Eagles are again on top of the league. It’s second time in seven years that Philadelphia has won the Super Bowl after having zero Super Bowl titles before that.
10 Eagles who boosted their legacy with Super Bowl LIX win – NBCSPVic Fangio: While Fangio has been one of the most revered defensive coordinators in the NFL for decades, a Super Bowl had evaded him until Sunday. And it was his No. 1 defense that set the tone in the dismantling of Andy Reid, Mahomes and the Chiefs. Fangio, 66, has had a lot of good defenses in his NFL career but to see this young Eagles defense come together so quickly in 2024 was extremely impressive. The Eagles’ defense was a disaster in 2023 and Fangio completely turned it around this year. Fangio finished fourth in Assistant Coach of the Year voting behind Ben Johnson, Brian Flores and Aaron Glenn. But that’s just a regular season award. Those other three got knocked out in the playoffs and Fangio was left to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

Promising Philadelphia Eagles rookie turns Super Bowl fine into heartwarming gesture – PennLivePhiladelphia Eagles edge rusher Jalyx Hunt turned a negative into a positive. After the NFL fined him $5690 for a bow-and-arrow celebration after sacking Patrick Mahomes, which was deemed a ‘violent gesture and unsportsmanlike conduct,’ Hunt decided to turn a negative into a positive. Hunt took to X to address calls that would allow fans to pay his fine. Instead, Hunt wants them to donate to charity. In particular, Hunt plugged the College Tour for Select Students of Boys Latin of Philadelphia High School organized by the Barbers Who Care inc.
Arrowheadlines: The Chiefs lost to the best Super Bowl champs of the 21st century – Arrowhead Pride“It’s hard to match the 2024 Eagles resume. Their 18 wins are tied for the most in NFL history and most by any Super Bowl champion this century. The Eagles capped off their historic season with a decisive win over a team that was on the precipice of history. No other Super Bowl-winning team this century had a top-10 quarterback, two top-20 receivers, a 2,000-yard rusher, a big, powerful offensive line and a second-ranked scoring defense that wreaked havoc on quarterbacks without having to blitz. That’s why they’re No. 1.”
Saints’ Kellen Moore feels ‘ready’ for coaching opportunity – ESPNMaking jokes is one way Moore has endeared himself to players. The other is by showing them what he’s capable of doing. Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson said there was an adjustment period for Moore, who was hired in the 2024 offseason after a season as offensive coordinator with the Los Angeles Chargers. But any questions about him were quieted once he started drawing things up in meetings. “What matters to me is whenever he gets on the board and talks to us and you really see what type of genius he is,” Johnson said. “So those actions speak louder than words, but he’s able to command a room and he’s a fun personality. … There’s a lot of depth to him and he lets, I guess, few people see it, but he takes up a room when he gets under there and is able to be a genius. So that’s how I see it.”
Saints set to interview two new candidates for defensive coordinator – Canal Street ChroniclesThe Eagles had a dynamic DB room that made game-winning plays throughout the year. There was a real youth movement this season, with their two top cornerbacks drafted in the 2024 NFL Draft. Christian Parker, the Eagles DB coach/passing game coordinator, spearheaded this group, which became one of the best in the NFL. Parker has not called plays before, which will be the main worry with him, but he is only 33. He has been coaching since 2013 and has already coached on three NFL teams: The Packers, Broncos, and Eagles. As I mentioned, the lack of playcalling experience is an issue, but Parker can develop as a playcaller if the Saints are going with the youth option. He has that leadership that Staley may be lacking, so hiring Christian Parker would make sense if the Saints want to also go with that route.
The 5 O’Clock Club: When would we see any changes to Commanders uniforms on the field of play? – Hogs HavenBased on listening carefully to what Josh Harris has and hasn’t said in the 19 months or so that he has owned the team, here’s what I think probably will and probably won’t happen. The Redskins name will not be coming back. That has been made clear on several occasions. The Commanders name is not changing, based on what Josh Harris said with a microphone in front of him on two different occasions last week. “It’s time to move on” seemed pretty definitive. The classic logo inspired by Chief John Two Guns White Calf seems as if it will not be making any sort of comeback as part of the player uniform, but it has been reported that the classic logo will be featured on ‘throwback’ merchandise like tee-shirts, posters, towels, etc. At Northwest Stadium earlier this season, the Commanders held a private ceremony for 22 of Wetzel’s descendants to unveil a memorial honoring him that features a large gold plaque crediting him with designing the logo and telling the story of his life as “a fervent advocate for Indigenous communities.” Josh Harris stopped short of giving any specifics last week of how the franchise would be getting back to the brand, but I have a few obvious guesses.
Ignoring Micah Parsons’ request to be aggressive in free agency could be dangerous – Blogging The BoysIndividual accolades are great in their own right, and all the players mentioned on the Cowboys have them, but at the core, every football player that loves the game wants to win. The Cowboys have had three decades of mediocrity, and it has pushed fans and also the players to the breaking point, which was made clear by what Parsons had to say. If the Cowboys don’t make an attempt this offseason to switch gears and go all out, or “all in” in terms of free agency and trades, what would make these players want to stay? Prescott feels that the Cowboys are very close to the Eagles. Well, the only way they can truly be in that conversation without any doubt is to maximize every avenue, which means opening up the checkbook in March when the frenzy begins.
33rd Team predicts top 2025 free agent contracts: Which players fit the Giants? – Big Blue ViewQB Sam Darnold. Projected contract: Three years, $120 million ($40M/year). With Jones out, the Giants are in search of a starting quarterback. The 33rd Team lists Sam Darnold as one of the top available free agents, projecting him to land a $40 million-per-year deal. The 27-year-old former Jets quarterback had a career resurgence with the Minnesota Vikings in 2024, and with a weak quarterback draft class, teams like the Giants could be forced to spend big for an established passer. While Darnold would be an upgrade over what the Giants had in 2024, the question is whether he’s worth that price tag. He’s coming off his best season, but handing him a massive deal could be risky for a team still looking for long-term stability at the position.
