Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links …
Top 10 NFL defenders to build around in 2025: Micah Parsons, Myles Garrett among ideal centerpieces – NFL.com10) JALEN CARTER. Jalen Carter is the total package as a dominant defensive tackle with an aggressive game. The third-year pro’s exceptional first-step quickness and heavy hands put blockers in a bind when they are isolated against the Pro Bowler in crucial moments. Presuming Eagles coordinator Vic Fangio continues exploring ways to unleash the 6-3, 314-pounder as a disruptive playmaker at the point of attack, the football world could quickly begin to view the former first-round draft pick as the premier interior defender in the league — and the perfect candidate to lead a unit up front.
Eagles absolutely should not be looking to trade Dallas Goedert – BGNThe Eagles have said goodbye to a lot of people so far this offseason. Josh Sweat. Milton Williams. CJGJ. Darius Slay. Isaiah Rodgers. Oren Burks. Avonte Maddox. Kenny Pickett. Yes, even Kenny Pickett. Most of those departures were understandable, if hard to swallow. Most of them were contained to the defensive side of the ball, where Nick Sirianni and Vic Fangio are relying on younger players already in-house or the upcoming draft to fill the void. When it comes to tight end Dallas Goedert, the Eagles should stand pat.
Eagles player review: CB Kelee Ringo edition – PhillyVoiceCan Ringo cover? That’s what matters. And in my view, the 2024 tape is limited, but I was encouraged by what I saw. And certainly, if Ringo is going to have a bigger role, teammates and coaches aren’t going to stand for the “tackle watching,” so it’s only mildly concerning that we’ll see much of that going forward.
Eagles current state of affairs: Free agency moves, draft prospects – ESPNAre the Eagles in position to repeat? They’re set up as well as any team in the NFC to go the distance, even though their roster took some hits. The offense remains loaded with difference-makers both up front and at the skill positions. The No. 1 defense from a season ago is facing more turnover, but there’s plenty of ascending talent for maestro defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. As Roseman has noted in the past, the Eagles’ three trips to the Super Bowl in recent seasons correlate to the front office nailing their offseason moves. There is a scenario in which the players brought in on one-year deals, via trade and the draft don’t pan out, leaving Philadelphia vulnerable in some key areas after a year of being strong everywhere. But the front office has developed a pretty strong track record at this point, making it more likely than not that the roster will still be one of the best in the league in ‘25, even as the Eagles prepare for another big contract boom in ‘26 and beyond.
Counting down the 10 greatest defensive plays in Eagles history: Part 2 – NBCSPSuper Bowl LII, U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis. Eagles 41, Patriots 33. On Tom Brady’s 39th pass attempt of the game – a 2nd-and-2 from the Patriots’ 33-yard-line with 2:16 left – the Eagles got their first sack of the game. Brandon Graham’s historic strip sack and forced fumble of Brady was the biggest play of an offensive showdown that saw an NFL-record 1,151 yards, 54 first downs and 74 points. The Patriots had scored touchdowns on three straight drives and had scored on five straight (not including the end of the first half) when B.G., lining up inside, beat right guard Shaq Mason, lunged toward Brady, stuck his left hand out and dislodged the ball from Brady’s grasp. Derrick Barnett recovered on one bounce and by the time the Eagles ran a few plays and the Patriots got the ball back there was only 58 seconds left. Brady completed a few passes and did have a scary Hail Mary attempt to Rob Gronkowski as time expired, but B.G.’s strip sack was the play that truly derailed Brady, Bill Belichick and the Patriots as the Eagles won their first Super Bowl ever. What Brandon Graham said: “When the fourth quarter came, we had to go out and make a stop. As a defense, we hadn’t been doing it all game.”

Commanders fans are bullish about 2025 win total; expecting Adam Peters to draft more offensive help for Jayden Daniels – Hogs HavenNearly 9 out of every 10 respondents took the “over”, which was not the least bit surprising. Not only will Jayden Daniels return for his second NFL season as the reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, he will do so as the leader of a beefed-up offense thanks primarily to a pair of offseason trades that added Laremy Tunsil — one of the best left tackles in the NFL — and Deebo Samuel, an explosive offensive weapon who seems custom-made for the Kliff Kingsbury offense that we saw debuted in 2024. Adam Peters has also re-made the defense via free agency this offseason, primarily focusing on the defensive line, seemingly in an effort to bolster the run defense after Washington ranked 30th in the NFL in ‘24, giving up an average of 137.5 rush yards per game. This was probably seen as an even more urgent priority because Washington has to solve the problem of a Saquon Barkley-led Eagles rushing attack in order to win the NFC East division and move beyond the NFC Championship Game. Washington will face a much tougher schedule in 2025, but it will do so with several advantages.
An improved Dak Prescott is an absolute must for the Cowboys this upcoming season – Blogging The BoysOne element that isn’t talked about is the capability of Prescott. Don’t get us wrong, the Cowboys quarterback is the most polarizing player on the roster, and there are non-stop discussions about whether he’s the guy or not. Mostly, in this debate, there’s not a lot of middle ground. You either love him or want him gone. But there is a third category that acknowledges that Prescott is a very good quarterback but also questions his performance at times. We know there are times he can light up the stat sheet and wreak havoc over NFC East teams, but what about other times when the rubber meets the road? Why does he get so frazzled at big moments? Is there something awry with his psyche in those moments?
New York Giants draft: Making the case — Travis Hunter or Shedeur Sanders – Big Blue ViewI’m taking Hunter and allowing the Giants to overhaul their cornerback room while assisting the offense with explosive plays, or just have Hunter play wide receiver next to Malik Nabers. I regard Hunter as a true blue-chip talent. Although quarterbacks are rightfully pushed up on draft boards, I don’t believe Sanders is near a blue-chip talent, even though I appreciate aspects of his skill set and think he could have an adequate career. I don’t see a high ceiling with Sanders, and his overall traits are average. His career could exceed adequacy if he reaches his potential playing within the pocket, throwing with anticipation, and distributing passes in rhythm. Still, I prefer the blue-chip possible TOP-5 talent at two positions, so I would go with Hunter.
Shedeur Sanders emerging as top-10 lock in NFL Draft after surprising injury news – SB NationDerek Carr missed seven games due to hand and oblique injuries, and his status on the Saints’ roster was already something of a question this offseason given his contract and incoming head coach Kellen Moore. However, Carr and the organization put pen to paper on a new deal that converted the bulk of his salary into a signing bonus, keeping him in New Orleans for 2025. However, now this shoulder injury throws another wrench into the process. Outside of Carr, the Saints have recent draft picks Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener on the roster, as well as Ben DiNucci. But if the rumors had Sanders finding his way to New Orleans in the 2025 NFL Draft before this Carr news, this development seems to solidify the idea that the Colorado QB will be headed to the NFC South in a few weeks.
