Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links …

Saquon Barkley tops NFLPA player sales list – PFTIt’s been a very good year for Saquon Barkley. On top of everything else he achieved in his first season with the Eagles, Barkley finished the period of March 1, 2024 through February 28, 2025 as the top player in NFLPA-licensed products. He’s the first running back to top the list since Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott in 2017. Here’s the full top 20: 1. Saquon Barkley, RB, Eagles. 2. Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs. 3. Jalen Hurts, QB, Eagles.

Report: Eagles hire “rising star” LSU director of player personnel – BGNThe Eagles lost some key long-time front office executives earlier this offseason. We’ve been saying that it’s important for Howie Roseman to restock the pipeline and it appears that’s what he’s aiming to do with the Tiffany hire.

Eagles rookie NFL player comparisons: iDL Ty Robinson – PhillyVoiceRobinson is a violent lineman who can play multiple spots along the interior of the defensive line. He’s powerful, with a great motor, and upside as a pass rusher (7 sacks in 2024, and 10 batted passes over the last two seasons). Here are those seven sacks. These aren’t freebies. He is smoking guys at the line of scrimmage with his power, hand-fighting, and most of all, his quickness (via @_RyanFowler_). Robinson tested very well at the Combine, as you might expect a 288-pound iDL to do. But even at a lighter weight, he was in the 92nd percentile or better in the 40 yard dash, the vertical jump, and the broad jump. He is an explosive athlete.

Final OTA Day – Iggles BlitzHurts started slow last season, but played really well down the stretch. If he can get off to a better start, this could be a huge year for him. He knows the offense. He has weapons all over the offense. And Hurts has won a lot of big games. His confidence has to be sky high. Hurts turns 27 in August so he’s in the prime of his career. With 66 starts under his belt, we could see the best version of Hurts in 2025.

Zack Baun is adjusting to his new standing with the Eagles as a leader and face of the defense – InquirerIt’s a bit of an awkward transition for a self-described quiet guy who was somewhat of a cast-off when he arrived for organized team activities last summer. Leading is something Baun has to be intentional about right now. The Eagles lost big voices in Brandon Graham and C.J. Gardner-Johnson, and while Jalen Carter might be the best player in Fangio’s unit, it is Baun who is the 28-year-old center of the defense. “It’s different for me because obviously I’m a quiet guy,” Baun said. “I don’t really say much. I kind of keep to myself naturally. I’m more of a lead-by-example type of guy. But as I’m feeling more comfortable connecting with the guys in the locker room, I feel way more natural talking to everyone now and really pushing that more vocal leader now.”

Bowen: You, too, can be Zack Baun, Eagles tell vets who sign prove-it deals – PHLYZack Baun, paragon. Baun’s extraordinary development as an off-ball linebacker fueled the Eagles’ march to the Super Bowl LIX title. Now the team wants to use his example to motivate other veterans signed to one-year, prove-it deals, as Baun was last season. Of course, the clincher in making this case is that Baun DID prove it, re-signing here for three years and $51 million, which was the organization’s most important accomplishment of the offseason, in my estimation. “With all the one-year deal guys we have now, Nick (Sirianni) mentioned my story earlier on in OTAs,” Baun told reporters Tuesday, as the Eagles ended spring work and prepared to break until the July 22 start of training camp. “I love it, because he uses me as an example to (show that if you) prove yourself, especially in this organization, this is an organization that is going to give you a shot, an honest try.”

How to train like an All-Pro NFL linebacker – PE.comZack Baun signed a one-year deal with the Eagles in 2024 and flourished in the team’s defense, earning All-Pro honors as well as being a finalist for the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year award. How does he train? Baun provides an exclusive look into his workout routine.

Answering big questions on second-year NFL quarterbacks – ESPNThere is little doubt in my mind Jayden Daniels’ rookie season was the real stuff, but it’s worth remarking that just about everything broke well for Washington. Take the deep balls to McLaurin: His 40% catch rate on downfield throws was his best since his rookie season in 2019, and his 27.6 total EPA on downfield targets more than doubled his next best. Deep passes are high-risk, high-reward plays on small samples, which means regression is likely. Also big for regression was the fourth-down success, even for as clutch as Daniels is. The Commanders converted 87% of their fourth-down attempts in the regular season (20-of-23), which is the best fourth-down season since at least 2000. Washington added 44.3 EPA on fourth-down attempts, the highest number since 2000 and a number that almost certainly will not be repeated next season. I don’t bring these up to take away from Daniels, but rather to insulate us from a C.J. Stroud-esque sophomore tumble in the national eye. Stroud was all that and a bag of chips after his rookie season, and he started his second season under the same offensive coordinator, behind the same line and throwing to the same skill players (with a couple of exciting additions in Stefon Diggs and Joe Mixon). Things fell apart, as they often do in the league. Shaky offensive line talent snowballed with coordinator errors, and offensive injuries threw Stroud right into a sophomore slump, despite the film showing the same aggressive, talented passer who starred as a rookie. There are a lot of worlds where the 2025 Commanders get the same stupendous play from Daniels but look worse on offense despite the keystone pieces they return and the additions they made this offseason.

Washington Commanders Injury Update: Noah Brown carted off the field – Hogs HavenThe Washington Commanders are practicing for the second day of mandatory minicamp and they’re already dealing with some injuries. Michael Gallup is dealing with a hamstring strain, and hasn’t practiced. Noah Brown has been at practice after ending last season on IR with a kidney injury. He was carted off the field after a 7-on-7 drill, and had a towel over his head as he headed inside team headquarters. He threw his helmet, and walked to the sideline before getting on the cart. There haven’t been any updates on the injury since the initial reports.

Why the Dallas Cowboys are firmly in the mix for NFC East crown – Blogging The BoysPeople have forgotten just how good the Cowboys are when Dak Prescott is under center. Specifically looking at divisional games, Prescott is 9-4 against the Eagles, 11-2 against the Commanders, and 13-2 against the Giants. Prescott’s only loss to Washington during the Mike McCarthy era was an odd regular-season finale that felt like the team went through the motions, while the quarterback hasn’t lost to the Giants since his rookie year. The Cowboys have also never had a losing season when Prescott plays 12 or more games, and they usually make the playoffs when he does. They were swept by Philadelphia and split the series with Washington last year, but Prescott missed all four of those games. The bottom line is that Prescott’s return is bad news for the rest of the division, whether anyone wants to admit it or not. [BLG Note: Lol.]

Giants’ assistant GM Brandon Brown sees young, growing nucleus – Big Blue ViewNew York Giants assistant general manager Brandon Brown gave rare insight recently into the team’s offseason decisions, offering perspective on everything from their first-round pick to the quarterback room and the plan for some of their younger players. One of the biggest moments of the draft came when the Giants used the third overall pick to select linebacker Abdul Carter out of Penn State. Brown said the choice was about more than just talent — it was also about how Carter fit into the broader vision for their defense.

Kyle Shanahan makes obvious and telling comparison when asked what Bryce Huff brings to the 49ers – Niners NationShanahan and the 49ers clearly believe Huff’s explosiveness off the snap will allow him to fill that void. As Shanahan articulated, Huff’s ability to quickly put tackles in the race will benefit other teammates beyond Bosa. If Huff can consistently get tackles to turn their hips quickly by threatening to turn the corner, then that will leave them vulnerable to inside moves from him and create more space for the 49ers’ defensive tackles, as well as Mykel Williams and Yetur Gross-Matos when they rush from those spots, to impact the quarterback with their interior rush.

Joe Flacco’s rant about TikTok dances and Gen Z is peak elder millennial – SB NationIt’s definitely a weird stage in life for Joe Flacco. The 40-year-old quarterback finds himself in a room with two rookies (Shadeur Sanders and Dillion Gabriel), as well as Kenny Pickett. There’s no doubt he’s the odd man out, and while most people might be tempted to try and fit in, Flacco instead went full dad mode at minicamp on Wednesday when it came to his opinion on TikTok dances.
