Draymond Green has heavy criticized the NBA’s attempt to revive the All-Star game by including Rising Stars in NBA Sunday.

In this year’s new format, the rising stars – made up of young NBA talent and G League talent – played in their own tournament on Friday, with the winner going on to play Shaq’s team on All-Star Sunday.

But, Draymond says the young prospects are undeserving of competing against the NBA’s All-Stars.

“These young guys, if they’re on the rising stars team, they don’t deserve the privilege of playing on Sunday,” Green said.

He added, “I worked so hard to play on Sunday night of All-Star Weekend and because the ratings are down and the game is in bad place, we’re bringing in rising stars. That’s not a fix at all.”

He wasn’t done with his honest takes during All-Star weekend though, he also called today’s NBA product boring.

“Every possession is some type of chess move,” Green said. “You don’t get that today in the NBA, often. … You don’t just get that on a regular basis. It’s just who can run faster, who can hit more threes, it’s no substance. I think it’s very boring.”

In an interview, the late great Kobe Bryant once referred to today’s game as “accidental basketball.”

“It’s all penetrate and pitch,” Bryant said. “You may make the shot, you may not.”

Draymond confirmed, “He couldn’t have been more right.”

Green continued to make some more interesting confessions on live television, after he shared that he has already been offered the head coaching role at the Warriors for when he retires.

Although, he did follow it up by saying it’s not something he wants to do, so it definitely could been some classic Draymond cap.

He was also very confident about Golden State’s chances of winning the chip this year after trading for Jimmy Butler.

“I said ‘I think we’re gonna win a championship’ but I lied… We are going to a win a championship,” he affirmed to his co-hosts.
