While he still has his doubters, Donald Trump has captured the hearts of the American people, which was on full display during his visit to the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championship.

When he’s not busy running the country or tending to one of his many businesses, Trump can often be found attending combat sports events. Each time he is cage-side for huge UFC cards, the United States President receives a warm welcome and his recent travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was no different.

Donald Trump landed at the Wells Fargo Center to a hero’s welcome, with fans chanting “USA!” and screaming in support of the 78-year-old upon his arrival.

The noise was deafening as Trump began greeting fans and shaking hands with those in attendance. As it does each year, collegiate wrestling attracts the attention of many celebrities as they get to witness the early stages of some of the next generation’s greatest athletes.

In the crowd of familiar faces was Elon Musk. It’s no secret that Musk is a loyal follower of the Republican Party leader and he too found the time to attend what would later turn out to be a historic event in NCAA Division I Men’s wrestling history.

Also spotted in the sea of people was UFC rising star Bo Nickal. Like many of his peers, Nickal is a public supporter of Donald Trump and looked thrilled to see the 47th US president.

Check out the video below.

The NCAA Division I Wrestling Championship saw Penn State’s Carter Starocci walk away with his hands raised; collecting his record fifth national title.

Alongside history being made, the event also came with an unforgettable underdog performance.

Despite being the favorite heading into the match, Olympic gold medalist and former WWE star Gable Stevenson was defeated by Oklahoma State’s Wyatt Hendrickson.
