Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star pitcher Tyler Glasnow left a second consecutive start early because of injury. Sunday’s outing against the Pittsburgh Pirates lasted just one inning as he was seen in obvious discomfort warming up before the second frame.
The team later announced that his exit was due to shoulder discomfort. After the game, manager Dave Roberts discussed whether an injured list stint would be necessary.

“We have to get him to a place that we feel (and) he feels that when he takes the mound,” said Roberts, “he can go out there and be the guy that he’s capable of being. Until we get to that point, I think that the (injured list) is certainly a conversation.”
As for Glasnow, he claimed that he is perplexed by his recent injuries and is set on finding the answer.
“I’m just obsessed with trying to figure out what’s going on,” said the All-Star. “And it’s been like this for a few years, and I’m trying to find a way to stay healthy, and I’ll try to do whatever. I just don’t really have an answer right now, and I think that’s the most frustrating thing. It’s not like a lack of trying.
“It’s just kind of getting exhausting at this point. I know it’s probably exhausting for a lot of people, for me especially, but like, I feel bad for my teammates. I feel bad for people watching. … It’s a very frustrating situation for me. It’s hard.”

Glasnow’s season ended early last August due to right elbow tendinitis as he added to a long list of injured Dodgers on the pitching roster. So far in 2025, Glasnow has a 4.50 ERA through five starts, throwing 23 strikeouts to 11 walks in 18 innings.
This season appears to have more of the same injuries to Dodgers pitchers that plagued the team in 2024, as there are currently 12 arms on the IL. Especially with the recent sidelining of Blake Snell, the rotation in Los Angeles would take another major blow if Glasnow ends up needing to sit out beyond his next scheduled start.
