Two heavy-hitting heavyweights headlined Saturday’s UFC card at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. No. 9 ranked Derrick Lewis faced the previously unbeaten No. 13 ranked Tallison Teixeira.
Lewis, who holds the UFC record for the most knockouts (16) only needed 35 seconds to stop Teixeira. A left hand sent the Brazilian crashing to the canvas. Lewis immediately pounced looking for the finish. Teixeira worked to get back to his feet and Lewis hammered away with punches. As Teixeira rose on wobbly legs, grabbing the cage to stand, the referee stepped in to stop the action.
For Lewis, it was his second win in a row. It had been 14 months since his last fight but he did not disappoint. Check out the full fight below.
